Century Council statistics reveal that 10,839
people were killed in drunk driving crashes.

arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
According to the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
[Fatality Analysis]:
- 372 fatal accidents in Georgia where at
least one driver had a Blood Alcohol Content
(BAC) of 0.08% or above
- 416 people were killed in Georgia in accidents where at least one driver had a BAC of 0.08% or above
- 73 people were killed in Georgia in accidents where at least one driver had a BAC between 0.01% and 0.07%
- 489 total deaths caused in Georgia where at least one driver had a BAC of 0.01% or above
